More than a football player — Sean Taylor became an icon.

Selected 5th overall in the 2004 NFL Draft, Taylor brought unmatched speed, power and intensity to Washington’s defense. In only four NFL seasons, he totaled 305 tackles, 12 interceptions and 8 forced fumbles, earning two Pro Bowl selections and Second-Team All-Pro honors.

His legendary No. 21 now stands as a symbol of greatness, fearlessness and a legacy that can never be duplicated.

THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE

On November 26, 2007, danger entered Sean Taylor’s home.

With his fiancée and young daughter nearby, Taylor grabbed a machete he kept for protection and moved to defend his family as intruders forced their way toward the bedroom. Shots were fired, leaving Taylor critically wounded.

The same fearlessness that defined No. 21 on the football field was present in his final moments — standing between danger and the people he loved most.

A PROTECTOR. A WARRIOR. A LEGEND.
21 FOREVER.
